VoIP Technology

VoIP Technology

Telephone conversations using the connection

VoIP is a technology that allows a telephone conversation to be carried out using an Internet connection via IP channels, or a dedicated network to replace the Rtg or Isdn telephone network.

The main advantages are:

  • The lowest call costs, especially on national and international routes
  • The switchboard can be either hardware or software, or be based on cloud services.
  • Telephones may be similar to the conventional ones, but in fact they are network-connected devices. It is also possible to take advantage of a personal computer where installed software also makes it the telephone system of the location.
  • It is possible to have more than one telephone number and is no longer tied to a physical line. Phone calls between users on the same IP network, even on international channels, are free of charge and switchboard services can be centralised, lowering the cost of personnel and infrastructure in branch offices.
  • Another advantage of VoIP telephony systems is their integration into the company’s management and CRM systems, by means of well-established standard protocols that allow hardware and software to be interconnected.
